Patti Herm School of Dance

Tuition: 

1 lesson at 30 minutes........................................................ $9.00 per week

1 lesson at 45 minutes........................................................ $10.00 per week

1 lesson at 1 hour............................................................. $11.00 per week

1 lesson at 1 ½ hours........................................................ $12.00 per week 

There will be a 5% discount for two or more lessons per student or family per week, a 10% discount for five to seven lessons, and a 15% discount for eight or more lessons per week.  Tuition is due no later than the 15th of each month.  A $10.00 late fee will be charged after the 15th of each month.  Failure to pay this late fee will result in the fee being added to your next payment.  Students will not be allowed to continue with classes if tuition is not paid by the 15th.

All checks returned from the bank for any reason will be charged a $30.00 fee.

A two week written notice is required before a withdrawal from class can be permitted or you will continue to be charged for classes.

Vacations

There will be no classes on Thanksgiving weekend, two week at Christmas, and one week during the Allegan County Schools Spring Break.  Vacations taken at times other than the above do not excuse you from a payment.  These classes may be made up.

Snow Days and Conferences

If the Otsego/Plainwell schools are closed all day because of snow or ice, the dance studio will only be closed in the morning.  Classes will be held as scheduled unless the weather turns worse during the day.  In that event, you will be contacted by email or phone if the studio is closed.  There will be classes when students are excused for Parent/Teacher school conferences or mid-semester breaks.  If you are in doubt, please call.

Dress Code

GIRLS BALLET

Creative dance (Ages 3-5).  Any color leotard, pink footed tights, pink leather ballet slippers.  Skirts may be worn.  Hair in ponytail or bun. 

Pre-ballet ( 6 yr. olds).  Pink leotard, pink footed tights, pink ballet slippers.  Skirts may be worn.  Hair in ponytail or bun. 

Classical Ballet (7 yr. olds – Ballet Level VII).  Black leotard, pink footed tights, pink ballet slippers.  No skirts may be worn.  Hair in bun. 

BOYS BALLET

Creative dance and pre-ballet (ages 3-6).  Black biker short, white solid T-shirt, black ballet slippers. 

Classical Ballet (7 yr. olds and up).  Same as above. 

JAZZ

Girls – Suntan jazz boots or ballet slippers, solid color leotard, suntan stirrup tights.  Short shorts or bike shorts may be worn over leo.  Hair in ponytail or bun. 

Boys – Black jazz boots, black bike shorts or jazz pants, solid color T-shirt. 

MODERN

Solid color leotard, footless tights, gaucho pants (opt.),  Hair in ponytail or bun.

Foot thongs or bare feet. 

Boys – Same as jazz attire, bare feet.

HIP HOP

Girls – Form fitting T-shirt or tank top, pants of choice, sneakers, hair in ponytail.

Boys – T-shirt, pants of choice, sneakers. 

TAP

Girls – Solid color leotard, tights, bike shorts or jazz pants.  Hair in ponytail or bun.

Boys – Solid color  T-shirt, bike shorts or jazz pants.

Shoes – Beginning Tap – Style 31 beginner shoes.

Tap II – Adv. – Style 54 or equivalent jazz tap shoe. 

ADULT CLASSES

Comfortable ballet or jazz attire.  Appropriate shoes for the style.

NOTES:

Pink or black waist length sweaters are allowed in ballet class.  No sports bras allowed in any class.  No tank shirts, T-shirts, or sweats allowed over leos in ballet, tap, modern or jazz.  No dangle earrings, bracelets, or large necklaces are to be worn.  Gum is not allowed.
